Halloween Flip Card

Hi,

I have loved Halloween ever since being a child.  I don't think in the UK we celebrate Halloween as much as we should, although it seems to be getting bigger these days, but I think that is just because it is becoming more commercialised.

I decided to make a Halloween card for my niece as she has the same love of Halloween as myself (she is 9).  This is my first attempt of making a flip card. 


The materials I used : 

Vintage halloween pictures
Black and Orange Card
Black and Orange Feathers



On the flip side of the card




I decided to make some gift tags to match the card, for a little treat for my niece.







My lovely hubby has just made me a super huge coffee, and brought through some "Posh" chocolate bikkies and I am going to pop over to see what goodies my friends have made at Handmade Monday, there are some fantastic crafters who take part in these challenges, so why not pop over and see if you are inspired by anything.

    Oh, this is quite adorable! I love Halloween too! Wish I'd gotten my Halloween *thing* to work out and could have blogged it for today, but it didnt' work as planned, so I'm stilly *on it*! :) But your card is awesome. Hope you enjoyed your coffee and cookies, your husband sounds wonderful. :)

    Thats a bit clever. Love the colour combination. I never bothered about Halloween myself until I had Grandchildren, now we carve out pumpkins and dress up every year Your niece will be thrilled with the card and tags.

DIY Milk Paint Recipe

After the outstanding results I received with the DIY CHALK PAINT , if you read my sideboard , rocking chair or toy chest posts, you will have seen the amazing results that the chalk paint made. So this time  i thought i would test out a milk paint recipe What you need: 4 parts milk powder 1 part bicarbonate of soda 1 part pigment 6 parts cold water Patience  The method is pretty simply. All you need to do is mix the milk, bicarbonate of soda and pigment powders together then add the water and stir well. Leave the paint to sit for 1 hour then stir again and paint.
