Hi Friends,  I hope you are well today. Over at  Paper Funday,   it is challenge Day, and today's challenge is "Anything Goes" but there is an Optional Twist of " Let's Celebrate " This is my design team entry. This was such a fun card to make.  All you need is a 6x6" card blank and a 6x6" piece of card and a 6x6" background die, some washi tape and some ink. Using the background die, cut out the 6x6" sheet of card. Place a piece of washi tape at the edge of the card, then another next to it, and another next to that.  Remove the middle piece, and place it next to the last piece of washi tape, and repeat to the end. I used Tim Holtz distress in rainbow colours. leave to dry. Repeat the above steps on the card blank. Then glue the background to the card and voila - it should be a perfect match.  There are so many options that you can do with this technique - instead of using inks, you can use stamps.   If you have read my blog before, it ...

Hi Friends,  I hope you are well today. Over at  Paper Funday,   it is challenge Day, and today's challenge is "Anything Goes" but there is an Optional Twist of  "Greatful/Thankful ".    Heres my Design Team entry. I made a background using a number of distress inks and Oxides and a stencil. Then with the stencil still attached, I ran it through my Gemini, giving it a subtle embossing pattern.  You can see it better on the back of the card. Using the same colour inks, I blended some cardstock, then stamped the butterflies on.  These were adhered to some white card stock to make the butterflies pop. I stamped a "With Thanks" sentiment on some white card stock Then I added 3 little little stones in between the butterflies. Here is the card that was my inspiration. It was in Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine. Thank you for joining me today, and I hope I have given you some inspiration if you have a Butterfly stamp.  Don't forget to hop on ov...

Paper Funday Challenge #58 - All Dressed Up

Hi Friends,  I hope you are well today. Over at  Paper Funday,   it is challenge Day, and today's challenge is "Anything Goes" but there is an Optional Twist of " Use Yellow, Orange, Green".  I would like to say thank you to o ur wonderful Sponsors, who are  All Dressed Up   a nd  Colour of Love . I will be using an image from All Dressed Up called Busy Shopping How cute is this image? It pairs up nicely with an old stamp set that I have in my stash.   When I saw this image I had a lash of inspiration, I wanted a French theme.  I mean which girl would not love to be shopping in Paris. I decoupaged the lady, who I think looks very much like an Emily, and the shopping bags, hat boxes and dog to give it some dimension.  Doesn't Emily look better with some added dimension to her? I stamped some script and roses in a platinum colour, and over stamped them with a Parisian postage stamp As this was not going to be a card, but a page...

Hi All,  I am so thrilled to announce that I am now part of the Design Team for  Paper Funday Challenges , have you heard of it??? In case you haven't,  Paper Funday Challenges  is a fantastic blog, where you can enter your makes, the  challenges are Always Anything Goes, If you want a little bit more of a challenge you can choose the "Optional Twist" option,  and if you are the lucky winner, you even get a prize.  Now that is cool!!! For my make, I have coloured the cutest little dude, called Twiggy by our wonderful sponsor Sheep Ski Designs . First I matted and layered the card, then cut a circle in all of the layers. I made sure that Twiggy would fit across the card, as I wanted him to look like he was  able to swing through that hole :) I printed him twice so that i could decoupage the leaves, then I coloured him in with Alcohol Markers from Spectrum Noir. I hope you enjoyed this card, and if you are feeling inspired, please pop over to ...
